Representing New Ross at the Irish Short Course National Championships this weekend in Lisburn.

The spotlight will be on Lagan Valley Leisureplex, Lisburn, Co Anrtim this weekend for the Irish National Short Course (25m) Swimming Championships with Ireland’s top swimmers competing for national titles.

Competitions will take place from Friday 2th to Sunday 4th December with 57 teams and over 300 swimmers in action in the first National Championships of the 2016/17 swimming season.

10 swimmers from New Ross Swimming Club will compete over the course of the three day meet.  Eoin Bergin, Jack Coode, Cian Foley, Denis Kilbride and Jack Nolan-Whitney will compete in the male competitions.   While Min Allen, Deirbhille Cruise, Caoimhe Daly, Niamh Fogarty and Clodagh Quirke will challenge in the Female categories.

Several current Irish record holders will compete this weekend with their eyes on the 34 national titles that are up for grabs, while there is sure to be a number of existing Irish records in jeopardy over the three days.
