New Ross Swimming is proud to be represented by three swimmers for the Leinster team attending the The Annual Stockport Metro Open.

The Meet will be held from 18th to 20th November 2016, at Life Leisure Grand Central, in Stockport.  Now in its 23 year the event has become a regular in the Leinster calendar, with squad members always vying for a place on the team.

Representing New Ross will be 13 year old Caoimhe Daly, who will compete in the 100 and 200 Open Individual Medley (IM) events.  Denis Kilbride (15) will also compete in the 100 IM and in addition will take on the 1500 and 200 freestyle.  Finally, Jack Nolan Whitney also 15, will focus on the butterfly taking on the boys 50m, 100 and 200 meter events.  All three are no  strangers to international competition, having participated last year also.

It is a great honour for The New Ross Club to have 3 swimmers chosen to represent the province at this level , and the Club’s Head Coach Fran Ronan will also be travelling as part of the  Leinster Swimming Coaching team.  We wish them all an enjoyable and successful meet, Go team Leinster!
