Leinster Division II Sucess May 14th, 2017

8 girls and 9 boys from our J2, B1 and B2 squads had an excellent outing at The Leinster Division II Gala in the NAC.
Ide Aspel (11) completed the 100 back and 100 free with good pb times secured for herself.
Eva Bayley (10)  who also had great sucess in the National Community games recently, swam the 100 back and 100 free finishing both times in the top 10.
Jaden Chan (10) made 5 Leinster Division 1 times , a great achievement.
It was a family affair for the Connels with Laura  (13) winning a bronze in her 100 fly, while brother Mikey(12), had two top ten finishes with pb's not forgetting youngest Sarah (10) who had significant pbs in her back and free.
Moilli Connolly (10) gained silver in the 100 butterfly and also had big pb's in her other events.
Another medal winner, Tiernan Foley came 3rd in the 400 free.  Tiernan had a busy day competing in 7 swims with several pbs and top 10 finishes.
Two more personal best swims for Agnieszka Krzemkowska (12) in her 100 back and 100 free. 
The McCarthy brothers Ciaran (12) and Donnacha (10) had strong results, Ciaran pb'd in all his events and Donnacha stormed the stadium with 4 gold medals and a 4th placing in his 100 free.
Liam Murphy (10) improved times on all three of his swims - breast, back and free.  While brother Ryan took home bronze in the 200 back also improving times in all of his other events.
The O' Connor boys Murtagh (15) and Phelim (14)  had all top ten finishes in their events, Phelim also secured a gold and 2 bronze for his efforts.
Finally Olivia Pincurza (11) took home gold in the 200 breast final with an excellent -14.25 second pb, narrowly missing a podium placing in the 100 breast but still gaining time improvements.

Well done to all the swimmers, and their coaches. The future is looking bright for New Ross Swimming!
