Four massive days of swimming for our 5 at Irish Age Group Division 2 (IAGD2)in Limerick this weekend.

First time national competitors Ruth Kelly swimming under 11, took a massive 27.69 sec’s off her earlier Personal best time in the 800 Free style, placing her in 6th overall – Well done Ruthie!

Another first timer, Cillian Foley (14) again improved his PB by -0.84 in the 100 Free – Great job Cillian.

Next up, Danielle Colfer  swimming under 14, had seven events lined up over the four days and she ended her weekend on a high taking gold in the 200 Breast(-13.27PB)!  Full results include; 800 Free (2nd)(-24 PB), 200 Free (3rd) (-4.78PB), 100 Breast (4th) (-3.29PB), 200 IM (sorry haven’t got this one!), 400 Free (2nd)(-13.61PB) and 100 Free (13th).  Danielle you swam out of your skin, well done.

Caoimhe Connolly, swimming under 16, also qualified in seven events, finishing in the top 10 in five of those events, a great achievement.  Full results are 800 Free (10th), 200 Free (17th), 100 Fly (5th) (-0.81PB), 200 IM (13th)(-1.PB), 400 free(5th)(-4.86PB), 200 Fly (4th)(-0.62PB) and 100 Free (9th)(-1.03PB).  As you can see from these results Caoimhe was just pipped for  a podium placing several times.

Finally Niamh Fogarty, has already secured her place in the IAG Division 1 in 2017 by taking gold in the 200 Breast (-3.54PB). Go Niamh! Her full results include; 800 Free (13th), 200 Free (14th), 100 Breast (2nd)(-.7PB), 100 Fly (10th), 200 IM (7th), 400 Free (3rd)(-4.01PB) and 100 Free (19th) (-0.17PB).

What a bunch, congratulations to all, we are very proud of you.  Hats off to Coach Fran, who puts her heart and soul into helping you guys have great weekends like these.  Well done Mammies and Daddies for holding it all together!

Roll on IAGD 1 on the 20th, the Ducks are in flight!
